Portfolio Manager / Trader

Hydro Energy is seeking a talented and ambitious Portfolio Manager / Trader to join our Trading and Portfolio Management team in Oslo, Norway.
You will have a key role in driving the success of our ambitious growth strategies in the energy sector, contributing to the green transition and the realization of our company's values.
Position Overview
As a Portfolio Manager / Trader, you will be given the primary responsibility for managing our expanding and diversified power portfolio, leveraging your expertise to drive effective trading results in the mid-term curve energy derivatives market.
You will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the portfolio, developing strategic mandates, and collaborating closely with our Business Development unit to explore new commercial opportunities that align with our growth agenda.

Areas of Responsibility
- Identify and capitalize on strategic opportunities in the energy market.
- Optimize portfolio flexibility and execute lucrative deals.
- Ensure robust financial performance and risk management through effective analysis and strategy implementation.
- Actively engage in trading activities to contribute to our strong revenue generation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for the expansion of our business scope.
- Support new energy ambitions, including Hydro REIN, Hydro Havrand, and Hydro Batteries
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, we believe you recognize the following qualifications :
- Relevant higher education in finance, mathematics, or engineering with 3-7 years of relevant experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of energy markets and quantitative analysis
- Proven experience in trading and optimization of physical and contractual assets
- Strong commercial understanding and a demonstrated track record in structured deals
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach to driving commercial performance and strategy.
